You Said, We did- Tackling Fly Tipping and Anti-Social Behaviour at Samuel Towers

Good Afternoon,

We’ve listened to residents’ concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and fly tipping in your area and I wanted to provide you with an update regarding anti-social behaviour and environmental issues at Samuel Towers Long Hill Avenue Chatham. Medway Community Safety Unit officers PC Marcus FULLER, PCSO Katy BARNES and myself have been working in partnership with Medway Council.

You told us:

Ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour

An increase in fly tipping affecting the local environment

We have responded:

Increased patrols in the area.

Working closely with our partner agencies, including Medway Council.

Identifying issues and reporting them to the correct agency

Supporting clean-up operations and reporting processes

Partnership working is key to addressing these issues, and we will continue to work together to improve the safety and appearance of our community.

If You Witness Fly-Tipping in Progress

Call 999 immediately – this is considered a criminal offence in action.

To Report Fly-Tipping After It Has Happened

You should report fly-tipping to Medway Council. Medway Council is responsible for clearing waste from public land in its area. Medway Council Guidance and how to report fly tipping: Report fly-tipping | Report fly-tipping | Medway Council

If it’s on private land, it’s the landowner’s responsibility to remove it. You can still report it, and the council may investigate if evidence is found.
